How to Replace a 95 Accent Hyundai Timing Belt
The Hyundai Accent is a subcompact car in production since 1994. The first generation of the Accent includes the model years 1994 through 1999. These vehicles have several different engine options, with a four-cylinder 1.5-liter engine being the standard. This engine has a single overhead camshaft, requiring a timing belt to synchronize the movement of the camshaft and crankshaft. The timing belt on the 1995 Hyundai Accent requires replacement approximately every 60,000 miles.

Disconnect the negative battery cable with a socket wrench to avoid starting the engine inadvertently. Remove the accessory drive belts, crankshaft pulley and water pump pulley. Disconnect the bolts for the timing belt cover and remove the cover.
2Turn the crankshaft clockwise to align the timing marks. The timing mark on the crankshaft must align with the timing mark on the front of the crankcase and the timing mark on the camshaft must align with the timing mark on the cylinder head.
3Loosen the tensioning and pivot bolts on the timing belt tensioner with a socket wrench. Pull the tensioner towards the water pump as far as possible and tighten the adjusting bolt to hold the tensioner in place. Remove the timing belt from the camshaft and crankshaft sprockets. Disconnect the sprockets for the crankshaft and camshaft. Remove the flange for the crankshaft sprocket.
4Connect the flange and sprocket to the crankshaft with a socket wrench. Tighten the mounting bolts to between 51 and 72 ft. lbs. with a torque wrench. Connect the camshaft sprocket and tighten its mounting bolts to between 47 and 54 ft. lbs. if your vehicle identification number begins with a J. Tighten the mounting bolts for the camshaft sprocket to between 58 and 72 ft. lbs. if your vehicle identification number begins with an E.
5Turn the crankshaft and camshaft clockwise to align their respective timing marks. Place the timing belt onto the crankshaft sprocket and camshaft sprocket in that order. Install the back of the belt over the wheel for the timing belt tensioner. Turn the camshaft sprocket counterclockwise to place tension on the timing belt and align its timing marks.
6Loosen the mounting bolts for the timing belt tensioner with a socket wrench. This step allows the spring on the timing belt tensioner to apply tension to the timing belt. Insure the timing belt engages all of the teeth on the camshaft pulley.
7Tighten the adjusting bolt for the timing belt tensioner to between 15 and 18 foot-pounds with a torque wrench. Tighten the pivot bolt to between 15 and 18 foot-pounds. Turn the crankshaft one complete clockwise to seat the timing belt and align the timing marks. Loosen the attaching bolts on the timing belt tensioner with a socket wrench to allow the tensioner to adjust the tensioner the timing belt. Tighten the adjusting bolts.
8Adjust the tension on the timing belt by pulling the timing belt towards the water pump. The timing belt is at the proper tension if the timing belt teeth come halfway across the the head of the adjusting bolt for the timing belt tensioner.
9Install the timing belt covers, crankshaft pulley, water pump pulley and accessory drive belts with a socket wrench. Attach the cable to the negative battery terminal and check the vehicle for proper operation.

Alignment Specifications for a 1995 Hyundai
Hyundai began exporting cars to the United States in 1986. Hyundai invested in improving the quality of their vehicles and the ratings and sales of Hyundais began to improve in the 2000s. Hyundai Motor America, the companys U.S. division, currently sells a full line of automobiles. The alignment specs vary from vehicle to vehicle, as well as from year to year, so it is always best to find the specs for a specific model and year rather than simply the make of a vehicle.
Alignment Specs for the 2010 Hyundai Accent
The alignment specs are the same for all trims of the 2010 Hyundai Accent. On the front end, the caster angle can range from +0.5 degrees to +4.0 degrees, the camber can range from zero to +0.5 degrees and the toe-in can range from zero to +0.16 degrees. On the rear end, the camber can range from -1.0 degrees to +0.5 degrees and the toe-in can range from +0.16 degrees to +0.32 degrees. The caster angle is not adjustable on the rear end.
Alignment Specs for the 2010 Hyundai Elantra
The alignment specs are the same for all trims of the 2010 Elantra sedan. On the front end, the caster angle can range from +0.5 degrees to +4.32 degrees, the camber can range from -0.6 degrees to +0.5 degrees and the toe-in can range from zero to +0.16 degrees. On the rear end, the camber can range from -1.0 degrees to +0.5 degrees and the toe-in can range from +0.16 degrees to +0.17 degrees.
While the front-end alignment specs are the same for the sedan and Touring trims of the 2010 Elantra, the rear-end specs for the Touring trims are different. For the rear end of the Touring trims, the camber can range from -1.15 degrees to +0.5 degrees and the toe-in can range from +0.04 degrees to +0.08 degrees.
The caster angle is not adjustable on the rear end of the sedan or Touring trims.

Taillight Bulb Installation on a Hyundai Santa Fe
As on any vehicle, the taillights on the Hyundai Santa Fe indicate turns and braking during the day, and they provide increased visibility for the vehicle at night. Without the taillights, at night vehicles behind you would only see the vehicle when the brakes are applied or the directional marker lights are turned on. Taillights are often taken for granted, since the driver cannot see them while driving. However, even a fairly new vehicle can blow a taillight out within a year or so, depending on its usage. Fortunately, replacing them is fairly easy.

Turn off the engine and the headlights. Apply the parking brake to the Hyundai Santa Fe.
2Open the lift gate.
3Remove the two retaining screws on the side of the taillight assembly with the Phillips screwdriver for 2000 to 2006 models. Use the plastic pry tool to pry off the assembly for 2007 and later models. Wire harness connections are still attached to the back of the taillight assembly, so use caution when removing it.
4Reach behind the taillight assembly and twist the taillight socket counterclockwise a quarter turn. The taillight on the Santa Fe is the light centered in the rear of the assembly. It is a dual-filament bulb that also contains the stop/brake light.
5Hold the socket of the taillight assembly with one hand while pushing slightly downward on the bulb with the other hand. Twist the bulb counterclockwise a quarter turn to remove it from the socket.
6Align the two small notches of the replacement 1157 taillight with the internal grooves of the socket. Push the bulb down into the socket, with tabs and grooves aligned, and twist the bulb clockwise a quarter turn to lock it into the socket.
7Test both the taillight and the brake light before replacing the taillight assembly by reversing the respective removal procedure.

How to Replace the Timing Belt on a 2002 Hyundai Accent 1 6L DOHC
The Accent is a subcompact car that Hyundai began manufacturing in 1994. The 2002 model is a second generation Accent, which includes the 1999 through 2004 models. Hyundai introduced a 4-cylinder, 1.6-liter engine with a double overhead camshaft in 2002. This engine uses a timing belt to drive the camshafts with the crankshaft, allowing the cylinder valves to open and close in the correct sequence. The timing belt in a 2002 Hyundai Accent lasts about 60,000 miles.
Instructions

Remove any components needed to access the cover for the timing belt. Disconnect the timing belt cover with a socket wrench.
2Rotate the crankshaft clockwise to align the timing marks. The timing mark on the crankshaft sprocket must align with the timing mark on the front of the crankcase. The timing mark on the camshaft sprocket must align with the timing marks on the cap of the camshaft.
3Loosen the tensioning bolt and pivot bolt on the timing belt tensioner with a socket wrench. Pull the tensioner towards the water pump as far as possible and tighten the adjusting bolt to hold the tensioner in place.
4Align the timing marks for the crank shaft sprocket and camshaft sprockets, if necessary. Place the timing belt onto the crankshaft sprocket, camshaft sprocket, and belt tensioner wheel, in that order. Turn the camshaft sprocket counterclockwise to take up the slack in the timing belt. Turn the crankshaft clockwise to align the timing marks once again.
5Loosen the mounting bolts for the timing belt tensioner with a socket wrench to place tension on on the timing belt. Ensure that all of the teeth on the camshaft sprocket engage the timing belt.
6Tighten the adjusting bolt on the timing belt tensioner with a socket wrench. Torque the pivot bolt to between 15 and 18 foot-pounds with a torque wrench. Turn the crankshaft one full turn clockwise to seat the timing belt. Ensure that the timing marks on the crankshaft align once again.
7Loosen the attaching bolts on the timing belt tensioner with a socket wrench to allow the tensioner to position itself. Adjust the tension on the timing belt by turning the tensioner wheel. The timing belt is at the correct tension when you pull the timing belt toward the water pump and the teeth of the timing belt come halfway across the tensioner adjusting bolt.,
8Replace the covers for the timing belt. Install any components you removed in step one to access the timing belt.

How to Change a Fuel Pump on a 2001 Hyundai Sonata
The Hyundai Sonata is a mid-size sedan that Hyundai has manufactured since 1985. All engines for the 2001 Hyundai Sonata have multi-port fuel injection, which requires a fuel pump to deliver fuel at high pressure. The fuel pump in this vehicle is located within the field type. The replacement of the fuel pump in a 2001 Hyundai Sonata therefore requires you to first remove the fuel tank in order to gain access to the fuel pump.

Remove the seat cushion from the rear seat, and open the access panel. Disconnect the electrical connector for the fuel pump module.
2Start the engine, and allow it to run until it stalls. Turn the ignition off and remove the cable to the negative battery terminal with a socket wrench. This will prevent the possibility of starting the car accidentally while youre working on it.
3Place a hose into the filler tube of the fuel tank. Siphon as much gas as possible into a gasoline container.
4Disconnect the fuel lines from the fuel tank, and detach the electrical connector for the fuel level center. Support the fuel tank with jack stands, and loosen the bolts for the fuel tank straps. Lower the fuel tank from the vehicle.
5Remove the mounting bolts for the fuel pump module, and disconnect the fuel pump module from the fuel tank. Connect the new fuel pump module to the fuel tank and tighten the mounting bolts to between 12 and 24 inch-pounds with a torque wrench. Complete the installation by performing Step 4 in reverse. Fill the fuel tank and check for fuel leaks.

How to Change an Oxygen Sensor in a 2002 Hyundai Sonata
The 2002 Hyundai Sonata has two oxygen sensors along the exhaust. There is one sensor beside the manifold and one sensor near the catalytic converter. These sensors regulate the cars fuel consumption based on the amount of oxygen in the exhaust. If the car is inexplicably burning more fuel than usual or the "Check Engine" light is on, it may have a bad oxygen sensor. You can access and change the sensors easily at home. Buy replacement oxygen sensors from an auto parts store.
Instructions

Raise the car with a jack and rest it on a stable set of jack stands. Remove the jack once the jack stands are secure.
2Locate the oxygen sensor protruding from the manifold or exhaust pipe. Pull the electrical connection free by pressing down on the retaining clip and pulling the connector straight out.
3Remove the oxygen sensor with an oxygen sensor socket and ratchet. Discard the old sensor.
4Apply a small amount of anti-seize compound to the threads of the new sensor. Do not get any anti-seize compound on the tip of the sensor. Thread the new sensor in carefully by hand. Tighten it with an oxygen sensor socket and ratchet. Torque the sensor to 40 pound-feet with a torque wrench.
5Plug the electrical connection into the connector on the oxygen sensor. Repeat the process on the second sensor if necessary.
6Raise the car slightly with the jack and remove the jack stands. Lower the car to the ground.

How to Replace the Passenger Side Mirror Glass on a Hyundai Sonata
The drivers side mirror glass on the Hyundai Sonata is like most other automotive side-view mirrors. It is made of plastic with a reflective mirror coating on it. The reason Hyundai makes the mirror out of plastic is to improve the impact resistance of the mirror. However, it is not impossible for the mirror to crack upon impact with a passing vehicle. If the mirror does crack, you need to replace it before your next vehicle inspection. Otherwise, you risk failing the inspection due to the cracked mirror.

Slide the mirror to one side of the plastic housing it sits inside of. This turns the opposite side of the mirror outward so you can get your fingers behind it. If your Sonata has an electric control module or mirror adjuster, use that to adjust the mirror to one side.
2Place your fingers behind the side of the mirror sticking out of the Sonatas mirror cover and pull the plastic mirror out of the cover. The mirror attaches with small metal clips. They are not damaged during the removal process.
3Place the new mirror into the Sonatas mirror cover and press the clips into place by pushing on the center of the plastic mirror. The clips bend around the mounting post or electric control module to hold the mirror into place.

How to Get the Trouble Code for a Hyundai XG350
You can get the trouble codes from your Hyundai XG350 using a handheld computerized device known as an OBD scan tool. When sensors positioned throughout the Hyundai detect a malfunction, they send alphanumeric trouble codes to the on-board diagnostics computer (OBD) which stores them for you to retrieve with your scan tool. This scan tool can be purchased from any auto parts retailer.

Locate a port on the lower part of the drivers dash. Plug the scan tool into this port, taking care not to force it in. Rotate it until it fits properly.
2Put the key into the ignition and turn it to the "on" position, but dont crank the engine. This will power on the scan tool. Wait while the OBD scan tool retrieves the codes.
3Write the codes on a piece of paper and look up the meaning of the codes in the OBD scan tool manual.
4Unplug the scan tool from the port and turn off the vehicle. Have your Hyundai serviced or repaired based on the information retrieved from the codes.
