2001 Chevy Metro Diagnostic Trouble Code 0705

How to Pull a Code on a 1997 Chevrolet S10 Blazer
You can pull a code from your 97 Chevy S10 Blazer right in your garage, saving yourself money and time. The Blazer comes equipped with an On-Board Diagnostics II computer (OBD-II). This computer retrieves and stores all trouble codes it receives from various sensors positioned throughout the vehicle. The Blazers computer turns on warning or service lights on the instrument panel to alert you to the malfunction. You can pull these codes from the computer using a small, handheld device called an OBD-II code scanner. You can buy this online or at any auto-parts retailer.
Instructions
- 1
Find the diagnostic port on the drivers-side dash under the steering column. Its the same size and shape as code scanners connective end.
2Plug the code scanner into this diagnostic port. Put the key into the ignition and turn it to the "ACC" position. Dont crank the engine.
3Wait while the scanner turns on. Select the command "Retrieve Codes" -- the command may be somewhat different, depending on scanner brand. Wait for the code scanner to display the codes on its face and then write the codes down on a piece of paper.
4Find the meaning of the codes in the scanners manual. Unplug the scanner and take the vehicle to be serviced or repaired.

How to Retrieve the Trouble Code for a 1993 LS400 Engine
You can retrieve the trouble codes for your 1993 Lexus LS400 right from your home garage, saving yourself a trip to the mechanic. All you need is an OBD I scan tool, which is a hand-held computerized device that can be purchased from any auto parts store. This tool reads the trouble codes that are sent to the On-Board Diagnostics computer. These codes help you or your mechanic pinpoint the exact problem with the vehicle. Do not reset the computer until after you have had the vehicle serviced or repaired. Doing so could cause further damage to the Lexus.
Instructions
- 1
Open the fuse panel cover using your fingers and pulling in a downward motion. The fuse panel cover can be found underneath the steering column.
2Find the port in the fuse panel and plug the OBD I scan tool into it. Dont force it in because the pins may bend. Just twist it around until it fits properly.
3Turn on the scan tool. Put the key into the ignition and turn it to the "On" position. Dont crank the engine.
4Select "Clear" on the scan tool to reset the codes.
5Unplug the scan tool, replace the fuse panel cover and start the engine. Verify that all service and warning lights have shut off.

How to Reset the Radio Code in a Volvo XC 70
As a theft deterrent, Volvo includes in its radios a mechanism that disables the radio when it is tampered with or loses power. When this occurs, the radio will display "code" until the deterrent is overridden. While useful as an anti-theft measure, it can be an irritation to rightful Volvo owners who do not know the four-digit unlock code that is unique to their vehicle. Volvo includes two radio identification cards with the owners manual. If these are misplaced or unavailable, Volvo dealerships should have access to a database of unlock codes.
Instructions
Instructions
- 1
Locate your Volvos owners manual and check the inside flap for the radio unlock code and write down the four digit number.
2Insert your key into the Volvos ignition and turn it to the "On" position. Turn on the radio.
3Depress the necessary preset button in sequence until the numbers on the radio display match the unlock code. For the code 1425, for instance, press the 1 preset button, then the 4 button, then the 2 button and then the 5 button.
