Roadside Assistance Tools

When you are driving long distances, it is important to carry roadside assistance tools for use when your car suffers a tire blowout, an overheated radiator or other type of vehicular emergency. Not only do you need a functional flashlight with extra batteries to use during nighttime emergencies, you will also need adjustable wrenches to secure radiator hoses and perform similar auto repairs.

Battery Operated Lantern

In order to repair a cars engine at night or to repair and inflate a spare tire at night, it is essential to carry a battery-operated lantern in your car at all times. Usually containing a six-volt battery that will last up to 22 hours, this roadside assistance tool is equipped with a fixed flood beam so that you can illuminate your car very well. The lantern can also be used to warn oncoming traffic of your roadside emergency situation.

Heavy-Duty Jumper Cables

To help others out with roadside assistance, as well as helping to restart your own car during an emergency, heavy-duty jumper cables are used. Available in 6-gauge and 4-gauge styles, heavy-duty jumper cables are equipped with insulated handles so they can be gripped easily when the copper teeth are fitted over a cars battery terminal. This tool is used to jump-start a car when its battery has completely died.

Roadside Emergency Flares

Measuring just over three inches long and containing a flashing LED light at one end, roadside emergency flares are used to deter oncoming automobiles from coming close to your damaged vehicle. The battery-powered flares magnetic base allows you to easily secure the flare onto your cars trunk, hood or roof so that other drivers can avoid hitting your car while it is being repaired.

Tire Inflator with Gauge

When a car suffers from a tire blowout and the spares air pressure is too low, a tire inflator equipped with a gauge becomes useful. This tool contains a metal pistol grip that shoots air through the attached flexible hose to the tools securing nozzle that fits over your tires air valve. The attached air gauge will indicate how much you need to inflate the tire to reach the proper pressure.
