How to Decode Yamaha Part Numbers

The ability to decode Yamaha part numbers makes finding replacement parts much easier. Yamaha part numbers consists of 12 numbers that provide specific information based on a basic part number configuration. The configuration consists of five basic components including the model code number, basic code number, design code number, design change code number and size or color code number. Understanding the content and structure of these codes can help you decode your Yamaha part number.
