Interstate Battery Specifications

Interstate Battery was founded in 1952. The companys mission statement explains its aim to supply customers with "top quality, value-priced batteries, related electrical power-source products, and distribution services." In addition, the company strives to provide partners and employees with profitable and rewarding experiences. As of late 2010, Interstate Battery is a privately held company.

Products

Interstate Battery sells a battery product for almost every consumer need. The "PowerCare" division sells generators and backup power systems. The MotiveCare division sells more than 15 million replacement batteries for cars, trucks, boats, lawn mowers and other motor-driven vehicles a year. Interstate also has a dry-cell and alkaline battery line for other replacement battery needs.

Distributors

Interstate has a network 300 wholesale warehouses in order to keep its product ready for sale. These warehouses stock more than 200,000 dealers in every U.S. state except Wyoming and Rhode Island. Outside the U.S., Interstate stocks dealers in Puerto Rico, Guam, Canada, Colombia, Guatemala, Dominican Republic, Guyana and Panama.

All Battery Centers

In an effort to bring consumers a one-stop shop to meet an ever-growing need for replacement batteries, Interstate created an "Every Battery for Every Need" initiative at its "All Battery Centers." At these centers, Interstate sells batteries for cell phones, cordless phones, watches, tools, laptops, cameras, camcorders, toys and remote controls.
